I enjoyed reading about your ongoing commitment to direct painting from perception, mixed with a little invention and indirect painting. I was impressed most of all with the group figures, orchestrated against trees and vertical elements. And I love the weight and color you give to trees. Wish I could see your show, but I’m happy that I could read this interview. Great work! I remember that Nell Blaine painted from her apartment window on Riverside Drive.
